After reading about and watching video clips displaying examples of Newton’s First Law of Motion, you will now create your own to share with the class! Think about what Newton’s Law says about force and motion. Come up with an example of this law; it must be original! You may not use an example from clips you’ve seen or read about on our class website. In creating your example you must do the following:

Think about what Newton’s Law says about force and motion. Come up with an example of this law; it must be original! You may not use an example from clips you’ve seen or read about on our class website. In creating your example you must do the following:
- Explain the example in writing – what it is/does and how it relates to the definition of Newton’s First Law of Motion.
- Be able to demonstrate the example through either a drawing, model, video, or simply by acting it out. (If you would like to display your example in another way not listed here, submit your request for my approval.)
- Prepare to present this example to classmates in a clear, organized way. You will have to explain your example in words and show how your example works and is an application of Newton’s First Law. Be ready to answer questions about your example from classmates and teachers.
The written portion of this assessment will be completed on the designated materials provided previously in class. You will hand this in on the due date. On the same date, you will come to class prepared to display your example with whatever materials are necessary to do so. YOU are responsible for bringing these to class and setting up. If you need the use of the classroom computer and/or SMART board, please let me know ahead of time so arrangements can be made.
